About Reiki
We live in a world of energy that nourishes and maintains all living things. When this energy flows uninterrupted there is balance and harmony within and around us, and we experience a sense of well being.
There are many variations of Reiki, but in essence Reiki treatments can help the body emotionally or spiritually. It is a tradition that is open to any belief
Reiki treatment is a process that anyone can enjoy in the normal course of their life. Reiki can be used alongside other conventional or complementary treatment and often helps to provide emotional support during recovery.
Usui Reiki
The Usui Tradition of Reiki, a revered and ancient form of energy healing, traces its roots back to the early 20th century. Developed by Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist, Reiki operates on the profound belief in a universal life force that, when channeled correctly, can encourage healing and holistic well-being.
This is offered by Erica Wakefield and Steve Moss.
Run Valdr (Runic Reiki)
Rún Valdr (which means "Rune Power" or "Rune Authority) is a system of energy healing and spiritual development that employs the ancient Norse Runes with additional channelled symbols of power.
The Norse Runes are more than just 'letters' or an 'alphabet' (although they were used for writing). They were also symbols of power, each depicting and evoking a different component/facet of the Universal Light energy that permeates all of creation.
This is offered by Steve Moss.
Animal Reiki
Animal Reiki is the offering of Reiki to animals but it involves more than just applying human Reiki knowledge and skills. Animals do not communicate with us in the same way as we converse with one another. They are often not truly understood and similarly they do not always understand our communications or actions. However, animals are inherently more ‘aware of’ and ‘understanding of’ energy. They have used it historically to determine if strangers are friend or foe and many naturally appear to be very accepting of this calm energy.
As with humans, Reiki may benefit animals with physical, mental or emotional issues and consequently this holistic complementary therapy may also be of help for animals with behavioural problems that have an emotional basis or influence.
Reiki is not a magical cure and is not an alternative to conventional veterinary care but it is a natural, calm therapy that promotes the body’s natural process of self-healing and is enjoyed by many animals.
This is offered by Erica Wakefield and Steve Moss. The animal can be treated in their home environment or at one of our local event stalls.
Usui Reiki and Run Valdr Teaching
This is offered by Erica Wakefield and Steve Moss.
It is done at our home and consists of a Reiki manual (which the student reads through themselves) followed by a practical day during which the student receives a Reiki attunement and practices the relevant techniques.
The course includes refreshments and a certificate of achievement. Please note that there needs to be a period of 6 months in between the training courses.
